The 16 Most Popular NFL Jerseys (and the Players Inside)

1. Brett Favre. Brett's most endearing quality is his longevity and continued success in arguably the most important position in football. On the other hand, Favre's wild tendencies and current waffling over retirement and remaining in the NFL drive many fans crazy. Delighting fans for years as a Green Bay Packer, only to move on to the New York Jets and then finally to the Minnesota Vikings has put Favre's name on many colors over the years. 2. Jay Cutler. Jay is one of those players in the NFL who has brought a lot of promise from the day he was drafted from Vanderbilt College. A mediocre year in Chicago marked his trade from the Denver Broncos. From time spent with the Denver Broncos to currently leading the Chicago Bears, many people along with Cutler himself are looking forward to the future. 3. Troy Polamalu. Troy has arguably become one of the Pittsburgh Steelers most important defensive weapons since joining with the team out of USC. Troy is easily identifiable not only for his skill on the gridiron but also for his long hair and recently appeared in a shampoo commercial. The Pittsburgh Steelers look to continue their success with Polamalu's tough and creative style of play. 4. Michael Vick. Although Michael's recent legal troubles have given him plenty of detractors, he maintains a strong following of supporters and has recently been "re-created" with the Philadelphia Eagles. Michael made a turbulent start to his career with the Atlanta Falcons, showing tremendous athletic abilities mixed with questionable personal decisions. Vick's diversity in football allows him to be successful not only as quarterback but at a variety of positions. 5. Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben has spent his entire career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading them in two Super Bowl victories-becoming the youngest Super Bowl winning quarterback at only 23. Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers have dominated much of the last decade, although Ben has had his share of injuries and controversy to go along with his success. 6. Tony Romo. Surprisingly, Tony Romo earned a sort with the Dallas Cowboys after going undrafted in the 2003 NFL Draft. Romo has had a successful career with Dallas and has been surrounded by many skilled (and controversial) players. Tony is poised to continue his success with Dallas into the future, hoping to win his first Super Bowl championship. 7. Mark Sanchez. Known to his N.Y. Jets teammates as "Sanchise", Mark became one of only four quarterbacks to win his first rookie playoff game. In 2009 Sanchez earned the largest New York Jets contract in history, illustrating the team's intention of him leading them into the foreseeable future. After leading the Jets to the 2010 AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts, Sanchez is poised to even greater accomplishments in the future. 8. Tom Brady. After winning three Super Bowl championships with the New England Patriots and countless other accomplishments, Brady and the Patriots have become synonymous with success in the NFL. Brady's consistency and excellence are a standard in the NFL that Brady and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick are building upon for the future. 9. Adrian Peterson. The Minnesota Vikings selected Adrian "All Day" Peterson in the 2007 NFL Draft. Peterson went on to set an NFL record for most rushing yards in a game and win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Peterson continued to excel with the Vikings and the Brett Favre led offense. 10. Eli Manning. Eli showed the stellar talent he possesses when he not only won the Super Bowl championship with the New York Giants in 2008 but was named MVP of the game. Since his career start in 2004, expectations have been extremely high for Eli and he continues to excel. 11. Terrell Owens. Terrell begin his colourful NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers, and then moved on to the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and finally the Buffalo Bills. Known popularly (or infamously) as T.O., Owens has achieved great success with his teams while sparking countless controversies. 12. Peyton Manning. Continuing the family legacy of NFL success, Peyton won the 2006 Super Bowl championship with the Indianapolis Colts and has consistently been one of the highest rated passers in the NFL. Peyton is known for his meticulous football planning and for his work as comedy host of SNL. Fans and detractors alike will continue to watch Peyton's accomplishments grow over time. 13. Hines Ward. After being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers Hines has become known as one of the most versatile wide receivers in the NFL. Ward is outstanding both as a receiver for short and long yard plays as well as blocking for his teammates. Ward achieved the Super Bowl championship with the Pittsburgh Steelers twice. 14. LaDainian Tomlinson. Upon being drafted with the San Diego Chargers in 2001, Tomlinson or "L.T." as he is popularly known, became the top running back with the team. While the ultimate championship has eluded L.T., he has numerous achievements, including the single season NFL touchdown record. LT has recently signed with the New York Jets and will bring his excellence to this up-and-coming team. 15. Jason Witten. Witten has enjoyed great success with the Dallas Cowboys since 2004, being consistently named to the Pro Bowl in his position as tight end. In 2007 Witten joined elite company as he became just the third tight end in NFL history with 96 or more catches in a single season. 16. Drew Brees:Drew Brees jerseys are the number 1 selling item across the league. Of course it makes sense, he's one of the best players in the game, he's a quarterback and he just won the Super Bowl MVP. His gear is the most popular of all Saints Super Bowl merchandise items, although there are many options to choose between as well. wholesale nfl jerseys at nfl-jersey.net

He got many injuries, but was the favorite player for his fans. He got 25 career points along four NBA championships. 11. Allen Iverson:Do you remember Allen Iverson's dunk over the 6'11'' Marcus Camby? You know, the guy isn't even 6 feet tall! He is actually only 5' 10.75''. So its clear that he can jump. But without any exercises no one can jump that high. There are a lot of exercises that may increase your vertical leap but the most of them are simply not effective. 12. LeBron James:The media has compared two players who may possibly fit the incredulous talent of Michael Jordan. One of which has been the super talented Kobe Bryant and the other is LeBron James. Both of these players have shown talent that over exceeds any current basketball player in the NBA today. Kobe Bryant has shined with the LA Lakers, bringing home the title many of times. His accomplishment include; three NBA titles, 10 All-Star game appearances, seven times as an All-Defensive Team selection, two scoring titles, and the second highest score ever reported in a single game (81 points). Then there is LeBron James: Because to his young age, James has already set some new records in the NBA, including the youngest player to win the NBA All-Star Game MVP, youngest to win the Rookie of the Year award, and the fastest to score 1,000 point, not to mention putting the Cleveland Cavaliers back on the map. Both players merit praise and admiration for their contributions to the NBA. But the question still remains; will there ever be another Michael Jordan? 13. Dwight Howard:Dwight Howard is 6"11 and weighs 265 pounds, but he wasn't always this powerful. Since he came into the NBA he has hit the weights hard and gotten much stronger. In fact, since his rookie year he has increased his bench press from 185 to 360. That is almost double!! So what is Dwight Howard's workout routine? Let's find out... Dwight Howard has to give a lot of credit to his personal trainer, Joe Rogowski. Joe has given Dwight a workout routine that has helped him gain muscles mass and explosive power. Joe Rogowski does an excellent job at mixing up Dwight's workout routine. One day he will lift very heavy weight to gain strength and power, the next he focuses on plyometrics routines for speed and agility. Below are a few of the key exercises that Joe has Dwight Howard perform... 14. Derrick RoseDerrick Rose, PG, Bulls: Rose will likely man the point guard position all season as the Bulls try to rebound from a nightmarish 2007-2008 season. He is not particularly a great scorer yet, as he showed at Memphis, but he can definitely handle the ball, play solid defense and help his teammates improve. Hoping for a Chris Paul-like contribution from the youngster is quite optimistic, but he has the upside to really help fantasy owners in steals and assists. 15. Dwyane Wade:Did you see Dwyane Wade dunking over Anderson Varejao (11.12.2009)? That one was sick! What about his dunk on Bruce Bowen, over Jamal Crawford or Kevin Garnett? Right, Flash got mad hops! In fact, D-Wade may be one of the best on-dunkers in the league! And in case you didn't know, the guy is only 6-4 but has a 38-inch vertical! So, what's his secret? Just ask the shooting guard who's the best player in the NBA."LeBron James. I like it better that way," says Wade. "I need a rabbit to chase. Because if I keep fighting, I'll only achieve greater success. It's all about dedication, about having goals in your life."And that's exactly the attitude you need if you seriously want to increase your vertical. Because you can't do it over night. It's a lot of work. But it's a lot of fun too. When you will dunk, when you will throw down a reverse, a 360 the first time, you will understand why. But first, you need to work, to train real hard. 16. Kevin Garnett:Kevin Garnett has brought the Boston Celtics out of the history books, and back onto center stage of the NBA. Kevin Garnett, a premiere NBA forward for virtually all of his NBA career, has always been better than the teams he has played on. Now, finally, in the twilight of his career, his best chance for an NBA Title has arrived. 17. Chris Paul:Comparing Chris Paul and Steve Nash -- Each of these players is considered one of the better guards in the NBA. Chris Paul is more of a scoring point guard while Steve Nash is known for his amazing ball handling and passing skills. It is hard to say which is better, but I think each has their own talents that differ from the other one. Chris Paul is an ultra fast guy who can burn people off of the dribble. He has pure speed and can finish at the rim. Most guys also have to give him a step or two because of his speed. This allows him to get many open looks and drain some long three point shots as well. His passing is also good and moves the ball around to all the different players quite well. Steve Nash uses more misdirection that pure speed and often has no look passes that amaze the fans. He can shoot very well in the mid range area and is very unusual with the way he moves making it very hard to guard him. He also can dribble in traffic and draw the defenders to him giving others good looks at the basket. Overall I would say Nash is the better true point guard and Paul can score better. Each is an all star type player and each could be in the Hall of Fame someday. Comparing them is hard but you cannot go wrong with either guy. I would love for my team to have one of these awesome guards to run the show. 18. Paul Pierce: On top of this, the Lakers continued to improve, thanks to the stellar duo of Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Both of these things potentially stand in the way of another Celtics championship. When healthy, this team is amongst the best in the league, and some would say that they're still the best when Allen, Garnett, and Pierce are all healthy. As these players age, though, the chance of injury becomes greater. While Garnett has been healthy this season, Paul Pierce is now struggling with injury issues and finds himself out of action this month. 19. Carmelo Anthony:He struggled early with being a team player and having any type of legitimate success in the Denver area. Then, Wade won a title in 2006. James made the NBA finals the following year, and then won a MVP in 2008-2009. Anthony has had his share of success, but still continues to be 3rd rate compared to the others. 20. Kevin Durant:Kevin Durant first put on a jersey at the University of Texas a few years ago. In that short time he was there he became one of the best players in the NCAA. It did not take him long to get many looks from the NBA scouts. He was soon drafted in the top few picks and made his way to Oklahoma City. Many first doubted his strength and whether he could handle the pain and agony of playing 82 games a year. Some also said he was too weak to play inside. Well, they have been wrong about him so far as he is one of the league leaders in points and rebounds this year and has made his name known for being a great shooter too.His defense is coming along nicely as well. He has very fast hands and quick feet to the ball for a guy of his size. His shot is very soft and he has great touch around the rim. His mid-range game is also super and he has been known to shoot the 3 point shot as well. Any doubts of Durant being a great NBA player should be erased by now. wholesale nba jerseys at nfl-jersey.net

Manny Ramirez - One of the most likeable players in Major League Baseball, Ramirez's jersey sales have been off the charts since being traded to the Dodgers in the 2008 season. With him signing on this off-season to stay with LA his number 99 jersey is surely going to be at the top of the list. Ramirez is not only one of the best right-handed hitters of all time, but he has one of the most intriguing personalities with his acts being classified as "that's just Manny being Manny". Albert Pujols - His number five jersey is very popular among his MLB peers. The St. Louis Cardinals have an incredible fan base and they have latched on to Pujols as their guy. Pujols doesn't exactly have the persona that makes him a must see interview, but his bat makes him a must see ball player. David Ortiz - Of course there has to be a Red Sox player on the list and with Manny in LA, Ortiz steps up as the jersey to have in Boston. This power hitting lefty is one of the most exciting players to watch and when the game is on the line you know he's the one you want at the plate. Alex Rodriguez made his professional debut in 1994 with the Seattle Mariners. Ten years later, in 2004, he joined the New York Yankees. In all, he has earned 12 All Star selections and 10 Silver Slugger awards. Rodriguez was the youngest player ever to break the 500 home run mark. Under the Yankees, Alex Rodriguez has earned two MVP titles and numerous All Star selections. Despite several events which has drawn floods of criticism, he is considered one of the best all-around baseball players in history. Derek Jeter was part of the Yankees reign, which brought the team four World Series titles from 1996 to 2000. He debuted professionally in 1995 for the Yankees, and has been a player for them ever since. In this time, Jeter has obtained 10 All Star selections and numerous MVP titles and other awards. His jersey is also the same as that of Alex Rodriguez, and sells just as hot as well. Jeter is currently the player with the fifth highest batting average among the active players. He is also the 74th player to hit 2600 times. At the same time, he hit his 1500th run, the fourth Yankee in history.
